What is Candid Photography all about?

The Candid photograph is the photo which is been captured naturally without creating the posed appearance. Candid photography is the one which is clicked to create a great memory of that moment which wasn’t posed. The Candid character of the photo is not related to the subject’s knowledge or the consent to the fact that the photos have been clicked. One of the special case of the candid photography is that you are not aware of the photo being captured, don’t even expect it, so such a kind of photography is called the “Secret photography” which is one of the special case of the Candid Photography.

In simple taking the photos of the people when they have no idea about you clicking their picture is known as the candid photography. Candid Photography is one of the best thing which can add the life to your pictures. For instance, if you can check out the magazines, the pictures which are in it would be the great example of the candid photography.

Candid Photography

Candid Photography is true, real and alive in the moment. Candid photography is everything about the genuine feelings. One thing that you have to notice is that the great candid photographers working, one of the best quality which they have is that how the photographer interact to the subject in the frame. The major skills of the candid photographer is that he have to know how to keep them more comfortable and bring their best personalities out. When you observe the person when she/he is talking, they will not think much about the camera, when they speak they will start expressing the real feelings, the real emotions and bring out the facial expressions like what exactly they feel, and this could be the best way to get the natural candid photography. The talent of the candid photographer is to wait for the moment in between the moments. Always you have to keep your eye and be ready to shoot the perfect picture. When the photographer is clicking the images he can just be a part of fun, so the people can get much more comfortable with the photographer and then bring the best out of them.

You have to create and look for the best moments it is like you have to act like that you are not paying your attention on them and then wait for the perfect moment and click the photo. Especially if a person is laughing or some type of the emotional moment in the person, at such times they will surely not notice the camera nor they will be affected by it.

You can just sit with them have chat and wait for someone to crack a great joke and when everyone is enjoying in laughter and that is when you can start shooting crazy pictures of them.

There are two types of candid photography

1. Street Photography

Street photography means the candid photography which is made in public scenario. The street photography includes the landscape photography and the studio photography. Street photography is ever more in the nature. A photo with the tree, water, sunset can be called a kind of the street photography. The street photography involves going out in the public and observe the things in the nature and the environment. I can give some of the examples of what street photography is,

• If you can see a homeless man begging on the road side you can click the candid images.
• If a small child is playing on the street and you can capture the great candid pictures of that child when she’s playing.
• You can capture the beautiful couple walking on the road having each others hand.

The street photography is meant to capture the human and the animal life in its natural state.

• Reaction Photography

The Reaction photography is one the best type of Candid photography. Reaction photography is all about capturing a person’s natural reaction at the right time. Capturing the person’s natural expression which might be surprising, shocking, happy, or any such natural reaction would really be the great way of candid pictures. Sometimes even if the person is aware of the camera, their reaction if they are surprised will not look like they are posing. It completely looks like a natural picture. Capturing the person’s reaction of their emotions and feelings is really a great thing and it is not that easy to do. You need to wait for the moment and wait for the person’s reaction.

• Birthday Surprise

If you are giving a birthday surprise to your friend then you can plan for the reaction photography when she’s surprised you can click all the images of her emotions and reactions. And that would be a great memory to have those in pictures.

• Love Proposal

If you are planning to propose your girl friend, you can plan for the great reaction photography to capture all her reactions, emotions and how surprised and love she could feel. That would be the wonderful moment you could remember for a life time.
